Thunderbird on Mac - Reply To above quoted text

To help me remember this little configuration gem. MACOSHints article

In the advanced configuration one needs to change mail.identity.default.reply_on_top to '1'

Details:
Under Thunderbird -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Configuration Editor. In the list that appears, select mail.identity.default.reply_on_top. Set the value to 0 to have your reply at the bottom. Set the value to 1 to have the reply on top.
